Be politically aware!
And the second went to this effect, 'The UN was not created to take Earth to heaven, but to save it from going to hell.'
So do not fret if you cannot create paradise. It is enough to protect and save life".

Hey Alanna! The cool new internship is with an organization called the World Affairs Council. It's a non-profit that works to create forums for discussion on world issues in the Seattle area (although these orgs exist all over the country). I'll be working for the Global Classrooms project which focuses on prof. dev. for teachers (i.e. creating resources to help them integrate int. subjects into their teaching) and putting on programs directly to kids. I'm super excited!
