Considering that walking to work involves 3 miles of idyllic "European old town", tree-lined parks, a riverside and infamous Lake Geneva, complete with spouting fountain, my own two feet are generally the preferred mode of transportation. Next time I'm contemplating whether I'd really not rather sleep an extra half hour and take the tram, however, I'll have to remind myself of all the exciting things that I'd be missing - as per this evening's wander home:
dozens of dads out playing with their kids
4 Lamborghinis
3 joints worth of second-hand weed
4 jugglers
3 teams of sparring jousters
1 well-groomed 50-year old man, squatting slightly, holding his pants up in one hand (though still well below the bum), a mini boom box in the other and ... clucking like a chicken.

I must say, your walks sound much more entertaining than any I might take around here in our lil Poulsbo! If I had all that to see, I think I would have more incentive to walk more often! (Except for that last guy holding his pants up, that is!) :)
I agree! It's always a lovely walk and there's some very picturesque views and often some surprises! You've captured it so well here. :)
Oh, you may like to read an old post that I wrote about taking a walk around my neighbourhood in Bangkok! See 'Welcome to the neighbourhood' from:
